Best known for his rapid fire lyrical flow, which apparently also gave him his stage name Machine Gun Kelly, MGK started rapping while still in high school and quickly gained a large local following through the release of several mixtapes. The 2006 Stamp of Approval mixtape was his breakthrough, and it garnered several eyeballs.

Richard Colson Baker was the original name of Machine Gun Kelly, who was born on April 22, 1990. Despite being born in Houston, Texas, United States, he is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Kelly’s family traveled all over the world, and he spent his early life in places such as Egypt, Germany, and all over the United States. At an early age, tragedy struck him when his mother left home. As if this weren’t enough, his father had to deal with depression and unemployment. MGK made history by becoming the first rapper in history to win the Apollo talent show with an energetic performance. MGK’s 100 Words And Running mixtape arrived shortly afterward and created a promotional tour for high schools where he played in crowds so excited that the school’s security teams started hijacking him for peace. MGK’s first single, Alice in Wonderland, was released in the same year.
Block Starz Music made it available on iTunes for the release of the song. MGK won the Best Midwest Artist award for MGK at the 2010 Underground Music Awards after receiving a wide positive reception.
